OICCI and PBC Host Saudi Delegation to Explore New Investment Opportunities in Pakistan

KARACHI: A high-level investors’ delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by His Highness Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, held an interactive session with senior representatives of major multinational and leading local companies at the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI). The event was jointly hosted by the OICCI and the Pakistan Business Council (PBC) to strengthen economic cooperation and explore new avenues for trade and investment between the two countries.

Addressing the gathering virtually, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed the Saudi delegation and noted that Pakistan’s economy had achieved macroeconomic stability. He emphasized that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan are entering “a new phase of strategic cooperation that must translate into deeper economic collaboration and shared prosperity.”

OICCI Secretary General M. Abdul Aleem highlighted that the Chamber, representing over 200 multinational companies, continues to serve as a trusted bridge between global investors and Pakistan’s evolving economic landscape. He added that Saudi Arabia’s growing engagement reflects renewed confidence in Pakistan’s reform momentum and investment potential.

PBC Chairperson Dr. Zeelaf Munir briefed the delegation on Pakistan’s improving business climate, stable exchange rate, and rising investor confidence, noting that Saudi participation could play a key role in driving sustainable growth and technology-led industrial expansion.

OICCI President Yousaf Hussain underscored the potential for joint ventures and regional value chains between Pakistani and Saudi businesses to promote export-led growth and shared development.

PBC CEO Javed Kureshi outlined strategic investment sectors and praised the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) for its proactive, investor-friendly approach in enabling foreign partnerships that can accelerate Pakistan’s economic transformation.

In his remarks, Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud reaffirmed the deep-rooted strategic relationship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, stressing the importance of translating it into sustained economic engagement and mutually beneficial investments.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Malki lauded Pakistan’s reform agenda and the active role of its private sector, expressing optimism that the visit would usher in a new era of Saudi–Pakistan economic cooperation.

Both OICCI and PBC reiterated their commitment to facilitating long-term partnerships that can further strengthen bilateral trade, investment, and industrial collaboration between the two brotherly nations.
